Focuses on how coastal and ocean acidification affects estuaries and coral reefs in coastal waters of the Southeast U.S. states.

Scope of activities

The Southeast team is aligned with the Southeast Coastal Acidification Network (SOCAN). SOCAN’s priorities include developing a Southeast regional acidification monitoring network, identifying gaps in scientific knowledge, and encouraging scientific research collaborations and data sharing.
