OAIE National Oceans Month Twitter Chat

26 June, 2018, 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm PDT

10 PM - 11 PM
#OceanMonth

What are coastal and ocean acidification? What does it mean for our marine environments, and for us humans? Is it all bad news? In honor of National Oceans Month, we'll be answering those questions and more at our first-even OAIE Twitter Chat on June 26th from 6-7 PM EDT using #OceanMonth. Join the Exchange and Dr. Sarah Cooley, the head of Ocean Conservancy's ocean acidification program, for the why, how, and what-we're-doing of acidification. If you're involved with COA, join in and tell us what you're working on, or why you're passionate about OA. This event is open to all, from newbies to nonagenarians, and there's never such a thing as a silly question!

...but what's a Tweet Chat, you ask? It's when a bunch of people gather on Twitter at a specific time to discuss a topic, and they use a hashtag (#) on each tweeted response. The host poses questions and special guests and/or audience members answer. It's like a meeting, but you can do it on your couch in your PJs and there are gifs instead of bad coffee.  Using a platform like tweetchat.com makes it easy to follow along, so really it's nothing like a meeting at all.
